~PLANNING AND FAQ'S~

We understand that hiring a marquee is not something you do every day. Here at Anglia Coastal Marquees we aim to make it as easy as possible for you. Below are a few tips.

The general process :

1) Contact us for a brochure. At this stage if it is a simple small marquee we may be able to quote you over the phone, if not we can send you a full brochure and price list.

2) Have a look through our brochure and arrange a no obligation site visit. Once this has been carried out we can put together a quote and CAD (Computer Aided Design) based on your requirements.

3) Once you have received your quote we will be in touch to follow up your quotation.

4)On acceptance, we will acknowledge your order and enclose a 25% deposit invoice.

5) You may need to make alterations to your order with guest numbers changing and additional ideas and decisions being made. We can make changes after the original order to suit you requirements.

6) A final invoice will be sent one month in advance.

7) Your Marquee will be delivered during the week prior to your function. A suitable date and time will be arranged two weeks prior to your date.

8) Our team will come and build the Marquee and depending on the size and additional accessories ordered, we will generally complete within one working day.

9) You get to enjoy your event!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO PEOPLE GENERALLY BOOK FOR WEDDINGS?
This really comes down to how organised you are. Some people are lucky enough to get a marquee a few weeks in advance but we would generally recommend you secure your booking a good 6 months in advance. We will take bookings up to two years in advance, obviously the sooner you book the more likely you will get what you want.

HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT THE MARQUEE WILL BE BIG ENOUGH?
With our experience we can estimate the size you will require, we are then able to draw up your marquee on our CAD (Computer Animated Design) Programme so you can see what your marquee will look like and how much space will be within it. It will also give you an idea of how your colour scheme will look if you have something in mind.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ELECTRIC TO THE MARQUEE?
The Marquee Hirer is responsible for ensuring there is a sufficient supply to the marquee for their requirements. We are happy to advise on whether a generator will be required or as an alternative recommend an electrician if necessary.

CAN THE MARQUEE BE PUT ON UNLEVEL GROUND?
A Marquee can be put pretty much anywhere, the better the ground the better the presentation and suitability. An ideal ground is a level well manicured lawn. Rough ground may require a wooden flooring underlay.

CAN THE MARQUEE BE ERECTED IN HARD GROUND I.E CONCRETE?
Yes, ideally if the site is concrete / tarmac we can drill into it and conceal the small hole after. If we are unable to drill we may be able to weigh the marquee down, this could be more expensive.

DO WE REQUIRE PLANNING PERMISSION?
No, there is no planning permission required for a temporary structure.

HOW LONG WILL THE MARQUEE TAKE TO PUT UP?
This depends very much on how big your occasion is it can take anything from a half day to a couple of days.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE WILL THE MARQUEE BE UP?
We will aim to get your marquee up at least a day before your event at the latest but will make sure it is at a time convenient to yourselves and/or your venue.

WILL THE MARQUEE BE INSURED FOR THE DURATION OF THE HIRE?
All our prices include insurance for the marquee excluding the contents and any malicious damage.
